October Events in the South Bay

Looking for more things to do in October? We found some events that offer a variety of activities for all interests, from car shows and cultural festivals to family-friendly Halloween celebrations.

1. Hot Wheels Legends Tour On October 5th, head to El Segundo for the Hot Wheels Legends Tour. This event will be packed with beautiful cars designed by attendees, alongside the legends of Hot Wheels themselves. If you’ve got a ride that you think is model-worthy, make sure to register for the big competition and come on down because a winner will be crowned by the end of the day .

2. Scaredown in Downtown On October 5th, historic downtown Torrance will become a creepy-crawly Halloween wonderland with decorations, activities, and costumes galore. Expect to see live musical performances, show-stopping scary-oke, tarot readings, and trunk-or-treat treasures .

3. Festa Italiana On October 5th, San Pedro will host Festa Italiana, transforming several blocks into an Italian cultural wonderland. The streets will be packed with delicious Italian food stands, and the entertainment will include operatic performances and a special show by Italian “Elvis” Mimmo Bologna .

4. Mr. Jack O’ Lantern’s Pumpkin Patch Located in Torrance, Mr. Jack O’ Lantern’s Pumpkin Patch offers tons of activities such as pumpkin decorating, pumpkin bowling, photo stations, animal feeding, and a bouncy house. The patch is open from 11 am – 8 pm Mon-Thu, and 10 am – 9 pm Fri – Sun .

5. Harvest Festival and Trunk or Treat On October 19th, join the Harvest Festival and Trunk or Treat at the Ken Dyda Civic Center in Rancho Palos Verdes. Enjoy a day of trick-or-treating at decorated car trunks, plus inflatables, crafts, food trucks, games, and a costume parade .

6. ICAN Inclusive Halloween Festival 2025 On October 25, the S.C.R.O.C. will host the ICAN Inclusive Halloween Festival. This event is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, including those with disabilities.

7. Torrance Antique Street Faire Don’t miss the Torrance Antique Street Faire on September 28. It’s a great place to find unique antiques and collectibles.

8. Smog City West Comedy Night Enjoy some laughs at the Smog City West Comedy Night, happening on various dates throughout October.
