Making a Difference in the South Bay This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time to gather around the table, enjoy delicious food, and reflect on all that we have to be grateful for. But it’s also a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community we call home.
Here in the South Bay, countless local organizations work year-round to support families, seniors, and individuals in need. This holiday season, consider spreading a little extra kindness by donating food, volunteering your time, or getting the whole family involved in giving back.
Looking for ways to make a difference? Here are a few local organizations worth supporting:
- Volunteer Center South Bay-Harbor-Long Beach (Torrance): Supports local families through food assistance programs and community service opportunities.
- Project: NEEDS (Redondo Beach): Provides hot meals and groceries to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
- Harbor Interfaith Services (San Pedro): Helps families experiencing homelessness and financial hardship through food assistance and essential services.
- Family Promise of the South Bay (Torrance): Supports families facing housing insecurity through meals, resources, and community volunteer programs.
- Community’s Child (Torrance): Provides children, families and seniors experiencing poverty, hunger and/or homelessness with the resources necessary to thrive.
Whether it’s donating a bag of groceries, helping prepare a meal, or simply lending a helping hand, even the smallest acts of generosity can make a meaningful difference.
At Gaetano’s, we’re grateful to be part of such a wonderful South Bay community. This Thanksgiving, we encourage you to share the spirit of the season beyond your own table and help make the holidays a little brighter for someone else.
From our Gaetano’s family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!
